Electrical Mechanical Technician

As an Electrical Mechanical Technician for Extrude Hone, you will never be bored!   You will do a wide variety of technical duties, including assembling Extrude Hone LLC’s machines, performing startup, debugging and commissioning to ensure a successful build project and timely delivery of the product.  In addition, you will have the opportunity to interact with / support other departments, such as Sales, Service, Machine Build, Engineering, and Media to resolve customer requests / concerns.  You will travel to customers’ sites to install, evaluate, repair or provide preventive maintenance on machines when necessary. Travel will range from 40% - 70% or higher, depending on customer requirements.  Following each project, you will be responsible for the timely submission of reports/documentation.

Of course, you must follow all company policies and procedures, strictly adhering to the quality policy and procedures, as well as the protecting company property.  You will participate in training as required by the company.  Your work must be performed in a safe and efficient manner including maintaining a neat and clean work area.  You will accept any additional assignments, duties and responsibilities as may be requested.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Technical Diploma or Degree in Electrical Mechanical Engineering Technology, with 0-5 years’ experience in machine assembly or electrical troubleshooting
  • In the absence of an engineering degree, 5-7 years’ experience in machine assembly or electrical troubleshooting is required
  • Able to read and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings
  • Capable of troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics, and electrical control systems for timely and functional service to a machine
  • Able to use micrometers, calipers, DMM’s, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Able to safely use hand tools
  • Able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds
  • Able to reach above shoulder level and stoop to floor level
  • Knowledge of Pro Engineering, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Allen-Bradley and Siemens programming software, SAP, Salesforce, and MS Office - primarily Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Able to comprehend and follow ISO procedures and processes relating to job performance and quality
